I’ll start:

|
I’m not happy about this. Not at all.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:39 |
|
Closest thing? Pontiac Montana.
(Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, for reference.)
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:40 |

It really reflects New York City well, though.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:42 |

What, like if it still had clear coat and was well polished? I’m sure that’s true.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:43 |
|
I’m pretty sure there isn’t one and I’m ok with it.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:43 |

Toronado. As per GM it has no meaning but it sounds like Toronto, and I thought it was when I was a kid.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:44 |
|
I’m ok with this:
Not this:
Disclaimer: I live in Saratoga, California, not Saratoga County, NY
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:44 |

No one has named anything after us. Which is a bummer, because Montreal gets this.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:45 |
|
I end up with a Chrysler New Yorker.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:45 |
|
Since where I live doesn’t have anything I can think of (except that Buick mentioned in a recent thread), here’s one that’s named after where I came from:

Some say the S stands for Seattle.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:45 |
|
Singer did a Toronto car.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:46 |
|
The older ones (pretty much from 1940-1978) were really cool.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:48 |
|
Whatever gramps.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:48 |
|
This.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:49 |
|
No cars share a name with my city/state/region. So I guess I get to use the Ferrari 330 America.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:49 |
|
Just down the road; (add another R)
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:49 |
|
Works for me too, since there’s no car called Sacramento.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:49 |
|
You got Rob Ford for mayor though, so you guys are the real winners at everything.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:50 |
|
You want to be on a hit list? Because that’s how you get on a hit list.
11/28/2016 at 12:52 |

These come to mind if we forget trucks, busses and such. Named after my country.
Passenger car version of the latter one existed but I can’t find photos of it.
Named after nationality.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:53 |
|
Closest you got is Bonneville, though I guess its Bonnyville.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:54 |
|
I feel like there
should
be a car named after Los Angeles, but I don’t know of one. The closest I can think of is “Malibu”, which is a car that never really matched the place, and there was a Pontiac “Catalina”, which is also regional for SoCal.
They should make a special edition of the Ford Raptor called the F-909.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:54 |
|
Not really my state but my grandparents live in SD. My great uncle owns one just like above with a stick.

Toyota Tacoma
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:56 |
|
Well, there is the Tacoma. The city is about 250 miles from where I am but it’s closer than anything other than maybe the Montana. It’s always amused me that Toyota chose to name its truck after a blue-collar city that for Washington residents brings a certain smell to mind, not outdoor recreation.

Yugo Florida
Here’s the official car of Miami Beach. It should be called the Miami edition only available in Cocaine White.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 12:59 |
|
Should only come in red.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 13:00 |

![]() 11/28/2016 at 13:02 |

I don’t think it’s actually called Toronto, just that the client who it was built for resides in Toronto. I really should head out to a Cars and Coffee to see if I can hunt for it.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 13:05 |
|
Tacoma is just a few miles south.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 13:14 |
|
Only thing close:
![]() 11/28/2016 at 13:18 |
|
The Renault Floride was named after Florida. It was called the Caravelle in the U.S.A.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 13:20 |
|
Be happy:
![]() 11/28/2016 at 13:21 |
|
Closest to me is Newport, RI
![]() 11/28/2016 at 13:27 |
|
It’s a bit of a stretch, but turning Connecticut into CT200h.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 13:35 |
|
There is no vehicle named after my city, state, or region. Apparently there is a hvac duct forming machine called a Pittsburgh machine
![]() 11/28/2016 at 13:44 |
|
Nissan Prairie
Illinois used to be almost all prairie, so it sort of works.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 14:46 |
|
Until it was recently moved by Kraft, the Oscar Mayer headquarters was here in Madison, WI so I’m going with the Wienermobile.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 16:00 |

Toyota TACOMA, HELL YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!
I love you both so damn much.
*sniffle*
![]() 11/28/2016 at 16:01 |

This:
But it really is this:
![]() 11/28/2016 at 16:35 |

Presumably inspired by Boring, Oregon.
Really though, I can’t find anything for Portland, Oregon or the surrounding areas.
![]() 11/28/2016 at 17:26 |

I’m Scottish, so this kinda makes sense...
![]() 11/28/2016 at 20:28 |
|
I believe this is the only one with the same name as my county.
